I don't know if it is a storm that will devastate, but it is a storm of confusion, deception, and immorality. For the lack of critical thinking involved, when the speaker, writer, or protestor lacks manipulation and deception in intent and really means his or her point, I suppose it is a storm of stupidity and shallowness. America does no lack for stupidity in this era. We watch and read ever more shallow entertaining materials and people on the left and sometimes the right express ever more stupid ideas.
Just a few examples will suffice to make a point and to prevent this writer's dangerous and unnecessary wordiness. First, though I am very concerned about the pope's support of the idea of harmful climate change that is due to man's activity, he did not seem to express the communistic principles that my fellow Conservatives claim he did. Secondly, my fellow Conservatives and Libertarians should, if thinking clearly, embrace some of the Catholic principles his recent writings lay out because they are basic anti-big government principles. Thirdly, my fellow Protestant Christians are wearing me out with their glee at seeing the Catholic Church's involvement in the end times. I'm sorry, but it did not take much searching and investigating for this simple Baptist boy to realize that the Catholic Church is the "Church of Christ" specifically, the only one that He founded, the one founded personally by Christ Himself. Like any human manned organization, it is flawed; but it does not get its spiritual facts and function wrong. In fact Christ himself said that it could not do so.
As to the left, I'm just plain, dead tired. Shallowness should be in their motto, their mission statement, their logo_ shallowness of character, shallowness of thought, shallowness of morals. Every act with a gun by a bad guy is not a valid reason to suggest taking guns from good guys. And, what in the hell does the Confederate flag have to do with it? . . . Because the Confederate flag flies from a secondary point on the state capitol grounds of South Carolina it had something to do with the church shooting?! Do you people have any brains over there on the left? Well, do you have any ethics, or do you have to use everything for political gain? Dear Lord help us (really); these are horrible people on the American political left, horribly shallow or horribly malicious and unethical . . . I suspect both.
I won't defend that flag. I don't have to. It is an honorable flag with a short but honorable history. I do not own one except a small one on an historical hat replica and in a miniature lead soldier's hand. Dear God . . . lead! Now the EPA will know about those lead soldiers! And that's it, what it was all about. Slavery was the catalyst issue; freedom from government interference was the cause, THE issue. It still is and America may have to fight it out again someday. Even the great Jefferson said so. As for the flag? Outlaw it, and I will have one if I have to make my own. The Vatican State recognized the Confederate States of America for some reason, when no other country would. And that reason was values (except for the slavery part). The Catholic Church values the right of smaller communities to govern themselves. Oh, guess what? That's a Libertarian Conservative value.
